CHANGE COMMERCIAL NAME

This service enables you to change your business name as wanted. You can either choose a new business name or an existing business name of the other branches of the same Commercial Register. MOIC officer will review your suggested business name to make sure that it hopefully complies with the law of Commercial name.​

Required Information

 

The Proposed Commercial names (applicant can suggest up to 3 commercial names in the application).

Required Documents

​​​

• Airlift SRF.

• Official power of attorney.
  
  Note: in this application, if the client dose not provide his ekey, a power of attorney must be provided to enable the applicant to submit the application.

• Authorization Letter if the applicant is one of the Professional bodies registered at Ministry of Industry and commerce or if the applicant one of the employees registered under the commercial register. *

• EGM for BSC & BSC (closed) or company’s owner’s decision (W.L.L.) / partners’ resolution for (W.L.L. - Partnership company - Simple commandite company & Commandite by Shares Company) approving the commercial name change (required if you will change Company’s Commercial name)

• Board of directors’ resolution for BSC, Board resolution, director or directors’ resolution (W.L.L.) Required if you will change the Commercial name of one of the branches)

• Attested AGM, EGM, or board resolution from the parent company for foreign Branch Companies. (Attested copy of Amendment of Memorandum and Articles of Association (M&AA proof the commercial name change)

• Draft Amended of deed of association for (WLL) companies, Memorandum of association for (partnership / simple recommendation, BSC company’s) Articles of association (BSC)

       Note:

• No document required to change commercial name for individual establishment.

• Draft Amended of deed of association for (WLL) companies, Memorandum of association for (partnership / simple recommendation, BSC company’s) Articles of association (BSC) is not required if you will change the commercial name of one of the branches of the Company.

 

* Note: Official power of attorney is not required if the applicant is the owner / partner / director or authorized signatory registered in Sijilat system under the CR.
